Assoc. Prof. Tolga Yazıcı

Assoc. Prof. Tolga Yazıcı was born in 1973 in Istanbul. He is the founder and former president at Istanbul Ayvansaray University and Plato College of Higher Education. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Webster University in 1994, he returned to Turkey and received an MBA from Koç University in 2002 and subsequently a PhD in Communications from Maltepe University in 2013. He became Associate Professor of Communication in 2017.

Assoc. Prof. Yazıcı also has held senior level positions in various platforms, associations, and foundations. He is one of the founders of Han Hostel. He established the Private Brand Production Association and served as its founding board member. He also worked for the Young Turkish Businessmen Foundation (TUGIAD) as a board member. Moreover, he is currently a Board of Trustees Member of Foundation “Göz Nurunu Koruma Vakfı” and TAÇ Vakfı (Turkey’s Monument, Environment, Tourism Assets’ Protection Foundation) a Board Member of the Private Universities Association, a member of the Foreign Economic Affairs Committee (DEIK), a board member of Education Economy Business Council (EEIK), a member of Turkish Exporters’ Assembly Services Exporters’ Association Educational Services and a board member of SAE Institude of Arabia Dubai.

In addition to his academic studies, Assoc. Prof. Yazıcı has been active in originating successful business ventures in different industries.

Assoc. Prof. Yazıcı leads a full life with his wife and child, working academically and giving presentations at international conventions, conferences and seminars on the subject of “Education for Employment”.
